Michael G Benton, 36, formerly of Issaquah, died November 12 at his home in Tacoma. He attended Issaquah schools, graduating from Issaquah High in 1964. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served a two-year mission in South America. He also served three years in the United States Army. At the time of his death, he was employed as an attorney in the land development division at St. Regis i Tacoma.
Benton's wife, Linda, died October 2, 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Melissa, a son, James, his mother, Ellen Benton Karch of Issaquah, a sister, Joellen Benton Corrao, of Saudi Arabia and a brother, Mark Benton of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Graveside services were held at the New Tacoma Cemetery Saturday, November 13.
