Margaret Ardussi Memories Memories of Margaret Ardussi

Margaret Rose Ardussi earned her BA in art at the University of Washington and an MA in art at the University of California at Berkeley. She became a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation program and founded and chaired a highly-respected TM Center in Bellevue, WA, in the 1970s. In the late 1970s she moved to Fairfield, Iowa, and taught art at the Maharishi International University there, which is now called the Maharishi University of Management. Margaret retired from teaching in June 1980 when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. In June 1984 Cynthia Yockey came to a World Peace Assembly (an intensive group meditation course for people practicing the TM-Sidhis program) and stayed at the house where Margaret was living in Fairfield, Iowa. On Sept. 25, 1984, Margaret moved to Silver Spring, MD, to be Cynthia's life partner. Their relationship was filled with bliss and ended only at Margaret's death in their home in Belcamp, MD, under hospice care with Cynthia at her side. Margaret died of complications of multiple sclerosis and a stroke on Dec. 7, 2004. Her page is now maintained by Cynthia Yockey.
